Advent Contemplative Evening Prayer: A Light Shines in the Darkness Tuesday evenings at 7pm on Dec 2nd, 9th, and 16th on Zoom.
Advent Messy Church: Saturday Dec 6th from 2-4pm at the church. This is a gathering for kids and youth and their families to come together and make a Christmas tree decoration as a gift or for their own tree at home! We’ll have a prayer activity to centre our hearts on the beauty of Jesus’ birth, have hot chocolate and cookies, and sing some Christmas carols. Please rsvp to Rev. Maddie at revmaddie@gmail.com.
Lessons and Carols Sunday Morning 10am Dec 21st: at this beautiful service, we hear the Scriptures that tell us the story of God and God’s people and sing traditional carols to celebrate Jesus’ birth, and the love Jesus brings. It’s a service that features lots of music and the participation of many voices.
Longest Night/Solstice Turning Dec 21st at 7pm: at this service we are given an opportunity to pray together with intention for new life to come from the losses we’ve endured, for peace in our hearts, and for the dark, cold part of our year to be a generative time of spiritual growth in Christ. Location of church or Zoom TBA.
Christmas Eve Holy Eucharist and Carols at 4:30pm: This will be an especially beautiful service this year musically – stay tuned and plan to be there!
Christmas Day Holy Communion at 10am: This is a very quiet, prayerful contemplative service that marks this holy day.
