Advent and Christmas Programs

Re-Imagining the Darkness:

Thursday, Nov 25 at 7 pm at St. George’s and on Zoom. I am so pleased to say that our Thursday Evening Gathering this month will be a time of music, prayer, poetry, and contemplation, led by Kathy Sparo. You are welcome to come to the church or tune in on Zoom. The link will be provided the same day. This will be an especially meaningful evening for those who find this season or time that we find ourselves to be tough and tiring and you find that you are longing for solace. Come and pray, be still, dig deep, and be blessed.

First week of Advent:

Evening Prayer: 7 pm every weekday in Advent on Zoom, November 29th-Dec 23rdThe link for this will be provided closer to the start of Advent. Your local college of Anglican clergy will be offering a short, quiet, contemplative moment at the end of each weekday to ground yourself in the beauty, challenge, and spirit of Advent. Tune in once or tune in each day all four weeks.

Family Advent Gathering:

Saturday, Dec 4 at 2 pm-3:30

Advent Concert:

Saturday, December 18th at 7 pm at St. George’s and on Zoom. Harmonia chamber music ensemble will be treating us to a performance and a Christmas Carol sing- a – long! Entrance is simply by donation. We are required to cap the number of those in attendance personally, and an online registration portal will be offered closer to the date. Come for some live music and Christmas cheer!

Longest Night Service:

Tuesday, December 21 at 7 pm on Zoom. This is a service of healing and light for those who have experienced any kind of grief and loss, and who find this time of year especially poignant or challenging. Come and pray with us as we seek the presence of the Spirit who holds us in every part of our humanity.

Christmas Eve Service:

Friday, December 24th at 4:30 at St. George’s and on Zoom. This will be a joyful, beautiful celebration of the presence of Christ come among us, and the gift that is relationship with him and one another.

Christmas Day Service:

Saturday, December 25th at 10 am at St. George’s. This is a quiet and contemplative service of Holy Eucharist to celebrate one of the holiest days of the year.
