Vision and Mission

On October 19th we will be choosing our new vision statement from one of the following.

A. We are a caring family who seeks hope and inspiration through worship and outreach.

B. Joy, Hope and Faith: Sharing, Family, Singing, and Laughing

C. Experience Christ through Caring Family, Hope and Faith, Reach out to others, Inspiring Worship, Singing and Laughing, and Teaching and Exploring.

After we vote on one of the above statements we will then be asking the question, "What now?" Please join us for a bag lunch and discussion about our future on Sunday, October 19th after the 10am service.

Brief history

St. George’s Anglican Church opened in 1955 to serve the needs of Windsor Park and the University of Alberta. The community of Windsor Park all helped to build this church.

City of Edmonton Historic Resource Management Program has recently acknowledged, with 96 other Edmonton buildings, St. George’s historical significance. It is architecturally significant as it proves to be an excellent example of an ecclesiastical version of the International Style leading to Early Modernism. The Church is historically significant for its association with the expansion of the city and the development of the upscale residential neighborhood of Windsor Park after World War II.
